bulletKnoxville Volunteer Rotary(KVR), on Friday August 05, 2005 was honored to have Thomas Zacharia from ORNL to present the unique and astounding benefits of the Super Computer project he directs. The speed of data processing is faster than Jeff Talman's wit and it stores 100,000 trees of data per day. I may be off a tad on the trees but Jeff's wit is really only half (forgive me Jeff, I really mean it as a compliment)! Thomas revealed that if we were alive 20 years from now, the technology from the Super Computer age may keep us alive forever. For those concerned, our club will still need new members. What an interesting topic. Thanks Thomas! Click on picture to enlarge
